Day 1 | Saturday

Welcome to Slovenia

Fly from your nearest international airport to Ljubljana (Venice or Zagreb optional). Meet & greet by your personal guide and private transfer to Slovenian Riviera. Check-in to your hotel followed by a welcome dinner. In Portorož, we have been throwing the lucky dice for more than a century and you can test your luck in one of three luxury casinos. At the end of the night, you will enjoy sweet dreams in your luxury hotel. (D)

Day 2 | Sunday

Soline Salt Pans and Piran, the Dream City

After a gorgeous breakfast in the morning visit the Soline Salt Pans. The salt is produced in a traditional way based on a 700-year-old method that harmonizes man and nature. Over the centuries, a unique habitat has formed for halophytic plants and animals and migrating birds. A free afternoon at leisure follows, or take time to enjoy a private sailing trip along the Slovenian Riviera. In the evening, a private guided tour of nearby historic Piran, one of the most photogenic and charming towns preserved along the Mediterranean, is provided. Enjoy a delicious seafood dinner to finish off this wonderful day with a short walk, or drive, back to your hotel in Portorož. (B, D)

Day 3 | Monday

From the Slovenian Riviera to the Spectacular Wine Region

After breakfast you have time to spend relaxing at the hotel spa, or you may wish to consider a visit to Lepa Vida. At the Lepa Vida Thalasso Spa guests are offered a special experience of traditional thalasso-therapy in a unique natural environment amidst the salt pans using all-natural products, produced in the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park. Midday you will depart for the Goriška Brda wine region, home of the finest Slovenian wines. Start with lunch at a privately-owned farm and try some of the best of Slovenian homemade wines. A short drive to your hotel, followed by check-in, and then a visit to old town Šmartno, the picturesque walled village with five preserved medieval towers. Perched on a panoramic hill, like an eagle’s nest, the town can be seen from every corner of the Brda region. In the evening we reserved a private Slovenian wine tasting followed by a gourmet dinner at the amazing Gredič Castle. (B, L, D)
